Summary
This is the Universal HTML Print/View menu page. Nearly every module in Freemed-YiRC that is capable of printing information uses this for printing purposes. There are typically two or more items on this menu:
- View this report: This allows a user to view the report directly on the screen without printing. For agencies/users that do not have a printer configured in Freemed-YiRC, this can also be used to allow users to use the printing functionality of their web browser (if they have a printer accessible on their workstation) via File -> Print.
- Print this report: This allows a report to be printed to a printer directly from the Freemed-YiRC system. This can only be done if the following conditions are met:
- A printer has been configured on the server on which Freemed-YiRC is located. Only your system administrator can do this, and this is outside the scope of the Freemed-YiRC software.
- That printer has been defined and made available in the Freemed-YiRC Printer Administration Module.
- A user has been given permission to use a given printer in the Freemed-YiRC User Administration Module.
- Create a PDF for this report: This option is available starting with Freemed-YiRC V1.10. This allows the creation of a PDF-formatted file for this report. When this option is chosen, a PDF file is created by the system and a link is provided to the user. The user can click on the link to view the PDF (provided they have installed the software necessary to view PDF documents, for example: Adobe Reader). Or, the user can right-click on the link to save the PDF file to their workstation.
