IMPORTANT NOTE!
This module is highly specific to one agency. It will be superseded by the forthcoming Report Generator module.
Summary
This is the Freemed-YiRC Service Plan module. It is highly specific to one agency with only residential treatment locations (no foster and whatnot). Therefore, it may not be applicable to many other agencies. It was designed so the data input portions were broken up in order to allow for the appropriate staff to enter relevant data. Case Managers enter their own data via the Service Plans-Case Mgr. module. The educational coordinator(s) enter data via the Service Plans-Educational module. Once that data, along with any data required by Service Plan report modules, has been entered, a document is generated which can be edited by the person(s) responsible for Service Plans. However, this method does not appear to fit to the model of foster care agencies, in which a service plan may be done nearly start to finish by a single person (Social Worker).
In addition, Service Plan documents are created and stored in HTML format. The word processor used by Freemed-YiRC is not the greatest and therefore many prefer to edit these documents in an external word processor (such as Open Office). However, this requires a process of copying and pasting the original document HTML from Freemed-YiRC into Open Office, editing, then copying it back from Open Office into Freemed-YiRC for storage. The forthcoming Report Generator module intends to provide for a better experience.
