Summary
This is the casenote system. This is where staff enter casenotes to detail certain events for residents.

History
The Freemed-YiRC Casenote System Module has deep roots. Before Freemed-YiRC was created another information system was in place at the agency which Freemed-YiRC was created for. It was based on the Unix user/mail system. In that system, each contact (staff and residents alike) had user accounts in the Unix system (of course, residents never logged into the system). The casenote system used the existing features of the Unix mail system for casenote management... simple messages (i.e., to, from, subject, & body)... easy search, automatic date/timestamping, etc...

Other Modules This Module Interacts With
- Phone & Visitation Log MODULE (PVL) - The casenote categories list is shared between the casenote module and the PVL module. Certain casenote categories, when marked, cannot be completed using the casenote system, but instead notes are entered in the PVL, which then creates a secondary note automatically in the casenote system for those categories.
- Transportation Log MODULE (TL) - Transportation logs can automatically create casenotes.
